A recent workshop**The Juan March Workshop on ‘Neutrophil Development and Function' was held at Madrid, Spain, 26–28 April 1999. discussed different levels which neutrophil availability for combating infections is regulated: proliferation maturation precursor cells bone marrow, apoptosis, diapedesis activation bactericidal systems.
