摘要: The murine developmental mutation T identifies a gene required in mesoderm formation. T/T mutant embryos develop normally to the primitive streak stage; during early organogenesis they show insufficient and absence of notochord. mutants die at around 10 days gestation because lack allantois. We have localized relative DNA markers used combination genetic molecular techniques clone gene. Expression is restricted nascent notochord, tissues most strongly affected by mutation. Recent results suggest that encodes nuclear factor involved establishing notochord cell identity differentiation, directly or indirectly organization axial development.
