摘要: Metal/covalent–organic framework (MOF/COF) membranes have attracted increasing research interest and been considered as state-of-the-art platforms applied in various environment- energy-related separation/transportation processes. To break the trade-off between permeability selectivity to achieve ultimate separation, recent studies oriented towards how design exploit ultrathin MOF/COF (i.e. sub-1 μm-thick). Given great advances made past five years, it is valuable timely systematically summarize development shed light on future trend this multidisciplinary field. In review, we first present advanced strategies fabricating defect-free such situ growth, contra-diffusion method, layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly, metal-based precursor pre-functionalized layer, interface-assisted strategy, laminated assembly of nanosheets. Then, progress some emerging applications beyond gas separation highlighted, including water treatment seawater desalination, organic solvent nanofiltration, lithium ion proton conductivity). Finally, unsolved scientific technical challenges associated with perspectives field are discussed, inspiring next-generation membranes.
