摘要: Bio-fouling is a serious problem in many membrane-based separation processes for water and wastewater treatment. Current state of the art methods to overcome this are modify membranes with either hydrophilic additives or an antibacterial compound. In study, we propose practise novel concept prevent bio-fouling by developing killing self-cleaning membrane surface incorporating silver nanoparticles highly negatively charged carboxylic amine functional groups. The innovative chemistry helps reduce contact angle at least 48% increase pure flux 39.4% compared control membrane. drop also lower (16.3% initial flux) than (55.3% during long term experiments protein solution. Moreover, continues exhibit inhibition microbes even after 1320 min filtration. Synthesis ultrafiltration lasting properties opens up viable solution application purification.
