Untermassfeld: A Late Early Pleistocene (Epivillafranchian) Fossil Site near Meiningen (Thuringia, Germany) and Its Position in the Development of the European Mammal Fauna

摘要: The fossil site of Untermassfeld, near the town Meiningen in Southern Thuringia, was discovered 1978 and has been subject 25 field seasons. digs have produced a stunning array vertebrate remains stratigraphic context, making this unquestionably one most important Quaternary localities Europe.
