摘要: Background Chronic alcohol abuse is related to numerous deleterious neurobiological consequences, including loss of gray matter, damage white matter (WM), and impairment cognitive motor functions. Aerobic exercise has been demonstrated slow decline decrease the negative neural changes resulting from normal aging several diseases. It possible that may also prevent or repair alcohol-related neurological damage. This study tested hypothesis aerobic protects WM in anterior dorsal areas brain heavy use. Methods Sixty individuals underwent a diffusion tensor imaging session completed measures consumption, control over drinking, participation. Analyses examined relationship exercise, alcohol, their interaction fractional anisotropy (FA) superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF), external capsule (EC), corona radiata, fornix. The consumption self-reported drinking were examined. Results A significant was observed between participation on FA SLF EC. In models examining observed, such associated with more strongly for low exercisers than high exercisers. Conclusions These results indicate association EC are greater among who do not regularly. These consistent notion protect integrity
