摘要: Recent reports indicate that the incidence of gallstone disease in children is on rise. While historically, most pediatric gallstones were pigmented variety, mounting prevalence childhood obesity correlating with an increasing burden cholesterol stones. Biliary pain common manifestation disease, but serious and potentially life-threatening conditions such as cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis may occur. After reviewing pathophysiology epidemiology this chapter discusses diagnosis medical management gallstone-related issues including choledocholithiasis, pancreatitis, Mirizzi’s syndrome, sphincter Oddi dysfunction.
