摘要: The extensive and intensive uses of organophosphorus insecticide—quinalphos in agriculture, pose a health hazard to animals, humans, environment because its persistence the soil crops. However, there is no much information available on biodegradation quinalphos by micro-organisms, which play significant role detoxifying pesticides environment; so research initiated quinalphos. A bacterium strain, capable utilizing as sole source carbon energy, was isolated from via enrichment method minimal salts medium (MSM). On basis morphological, biochemical 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, identified be Bacillus thuringiensis. thuringiensis grew with generation time 28.38 min or 0.473 h logarithmic phase. Maximum degradation observed an inoculum 1.0 OD, optimum pH (6.5–7.5), temperature 35–37 °C. Among additional nitrogen sources, source—sodium acetate source—a yeast extract marginally improved rate Display B. liquid culture present study indicates potential for decontamination polluted sites.
