摘要: Abstract This paper presents a solution to the correspondence problem for polygon blending, based on morphological characterization of shape. The approximate skeleton is suggested coding shape as graph meaningful areas, and therefore solved matching process. correspondences are found taking into account global structure shapes, also local similarity criteria used further refine matching. approximated resembles medial axis, but it much simpler extract may be easily pruned reduce effects small scale details shapes’ boundary. first implementation results confirm validity approach driving blending both in surface reconstruction or morphing contexts.
