摘要: The shear strength of sand and its mechanical properties can be affected by numerous para- meters. This work presents an experimental investigation which aims to study the influence of fines content, depositional method grain size on of Chlef sand. Tests were conducted with box two types soil, natural sand and clean sand-silt mixture. Dense samples (Dr = 88%) reconstituted through dry deposition for each type material. An additional series tests was carried out on a medium dense 52%) prepared dry wet (w 3%) deposition methods. All specimens subjected normal stresses 100 kPa, 200 kPa 300 kPa and there no immersion water. results show that behavior be affected three parameters, deposition particle size. The maximum stress friction angle decrease as content increases, the initial water effective diameter decreases uniformity coefficient increases. cohesion intercept increases increasing and decreasing initial content. Overall, me- thod more resistance than those method. results obtained are generally in agreement previous research drained undrained saturated literature.
