摘要: In the face of an increasingly challenging scientific and fiscal environment, shrinking government funding to research institutions, these institutions (including herbaria) must enter "stakeholder society", in which needs customer are foremost, if they survive remain relevant new millennium. To ensure that herbaria South Africa indeed delivering those products services their customers need require, a national workshop was organised under auspices Southern African Botanical Diversity Network (SABONET), provided setting for discussion (with customers) wants.
