摘要: Abstract AKR J mice and C57BL 6J were given lifetime exposures to 100 300 ppm benzene, respectively. Peripheral blood cell counts obtained biweekly throughout the exposures. Anemia lymphocytopenia produced in benzene-exposed mice. Twenty percent of exposed developed bone marrow hypoplasia, compared 2% for controls. The benzene did not alter incidence or induction time viral-induced lymphomas commonly seen In mice, exposure anemia, lymphocytopenia, neutrophilia accompanied by a left shift. Thirteen (33%) hyperplasia four these was essentially limited granulopoietic elements. None control hyperplasia. there significant increase hematopoietic neoplasms including six cases (15%) thymic lymphoma. Although two (5%) died with lymphoma neither tumors involved thymus. Thymic is rare but can be ionizing radiation chemical carcinogens.
