摘要: In the context of Africa’s farm labor scarcity, use mechanization is crucial for agricultural development. Benin, technological advances, such as animal traction and motorization, are struggling to achieve success expected by producers. The objective this research was analyze drivers in cotton production Benin. Data collected from 482 producers three agroecological zones country were analyzed using a multinomial Logit model. results revealed that 34% used hand tools, compared 31% draught animals 35% tractors. Variables education level, area cropped, access land, credit zone had positive influence on probability production. Family size per household negative mechanization. Women more likely than men. This suggests policies should adapt equipment specificities systems each zone, strengthen land tenure security credit, particularly women
