摘要: To investigate the impact of gender differences on treatment success, intraoperative and postoperative complications in patients undergoing ureteroscopy (URS). A prospectively maintained database 927 consecutively performed ureteroscopies solitary ureteral stones four different centers was retrospectively analyzed. Stones were detected with preoperative computed tomography scans or intravenous urography imaging. Patients received antibiotics as perioperative prophylaxis. symptomatic urinary tract infections (UTI) prior to surgery excluded. Follow-up up 2 weeks after URS stent removal. Two hundred eighty-six women 641 men included this study. Mean stone size 9 mm (range 2–35 mm). double-J placed 240 (83 %) 527 (82 %) at end (p = 0.075).
