Gender- and site-related effects on lipolytic capacity of rat white adipose tissue.

摘要: Gender- and site-related differences in the lipolytic capacity, at different steps of adrenergic pathway, gonadal inguinal white adipose tissue (WAT), were assessed by studying α2A-adrenergic receptor (AR), β3-AR hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) protein levels, determining response to agents. Gonadal WAT showed a lower α2A/β3-AR ratio, greater capacity AR agonists, higher HSL activity levels than WAT. In female rats, we found α2A-AR ratio compared their male counterparts, but, on other hand, β-AR agonists postreceptor level, including more activated protein. Thus, was clearly WAT, pathway studied. Moreover, both tissues, females inhibition lipolysis via α2-AR, which counteracted level.
