摘要: Atrial pacing has the advantages of simplicity, maintenance AV synchrony, and economy. The major detraction been potential for deterioration atrioventricular conduction. In this study, we followed 43 patients with sick sinus syndrome treated atrial (AAI) pacing. Excellent initial implant parameters were obtained in all. Three early lead repositionings required. Minor sensing problems could all otherwise be handled by reprogramming. Follow-up a mean 25 +/- 20 months demonstrated excellent performance systems. Pacing thresholds impedance indicated performance. There no late failures. Nine have had mild conduction one these change to DDD at time elective battery change. All are asymptomatic. Thus, chronic selected is safe reliable good low risk subsequent system disease.
