摘要: Spreading phenomena on networks are essential for the collective dynamics of various natural and technological systems, from information spreading in gene regulatory to neural circuits epidemics supply experiencing perturbations. Still, how local disturbances spread across is not yet quantitatively understood. Here, we analyze generic deterministic network dynamical systems close a given operating point. Standard systems' theory does explicitly provide measures arrival times amplitudes transient signal because it focuses invariant sets, measures, other quantities less relevant behavior. We here change perspective introduce formal expectation values work out quantifying when strongly perturbation initiated at one unit impacts any other.
