摘要: MRI in neuroradiology has evolved the last 30 years, becoming faster, more precise, and specific. The latest additions, including magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), diffusion imaging, tensor functional MRI, dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion have expanded applications for MR imaging. Currently, fluid attenuation inversion recovery (FLAIR) thin-section 3D volumetric imaging with spoiled gradient techniques, others mentioned above permit not only precise localization of brain lesions, but also evaluation their metabolic profile, location relative to eloquent regions cortex subcortical white matter, blood volume permeability vasculature that supplies lesion. Thus, cellular, vascular, anatomic information are obtained one examination session available treating physicians office, operating room, or radiation therapy suite.
