Assistive Hearing Technologies Among Students With Hearing Impairment: Factors That Promote Satisfaction

摘要: Hearing technology can play an essential part in the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing children inclusive schools. Few studies have examined these children’s experiences with this technology. This article explores factors pertaining to use attitudes toward hearing technologies, such as aids, cochlear implants, teacher-worn microphones, student-worn microphones. The study included 153 students. All students communicated orally were schools from grades 5–10. results suggest that males view more positively than do females. Having severe loss also promoted positive aids but not self-descriptions tended be satisfied or implants negative self-descriptions. main promoting loss, sound quality aids.
