On why agriculture declines with economic growth

摘要: Abstract When economic growth is characterised by a slow rise in the demand for food and rapid farm relative to non-farm productivity, it understandable that agriculture closed economy declines terms as develops. But why should decline virtually all open growing economies well, including those able retain comparative advantage agricultural products? A key part of answer non-tradable goods tends be income elastic, so resources are diverted their production even economies.
