摘要: Knowledge of reversible electrode potentials is important for many aspects analytical electrochemistry, and also as a source thermo-dynamic data that are finding increasing applications in chemistry. Unfortunately, there substantial experimental difficulties associated with determination metals very reactive ill-behaving often yield “irreversible” electrodes. Many years ago, Lewis developed applied indirect electrochemical methods the such active sodium aqueous systems. Subsequently, Latimer others have thermodynamic to calculation aluminum, fluorine, etc.
