摘要: Abstract Constant exploitations of the ocean render numerous present challenges as is linked to human development. The study focused on cross-strait driftage pollution that poses a great threat coastal environment under climate change. Several hundred packs herbicides drifting across Taiwan Strait were discovered along coastline Guanyin District Taiwan. We compared risk perceptions local ethnic groups, Hakka and Fulao, residing in area exposed herbicide incident It concern society's response every dimension global change mediated by culture. Driver–Pressure–State–Impact–Response (DPSIR) cause-effect framework was applied semi-structured interviews explore sensitivity adaptability. As result, we indicated despite presence two groups same place they presented very different both environmental degradation (ED) adaptive capacity (AC) due cultural values. argued involved people's subsequently influenced their opinions attitudes towards problems. concluded trait contributed behaviors during Culturally appropriate adaptations appeared enhance adaptation actions, suggesting need for more rigorous guidelines resilience when designing interventions groups.
