摘要: The composition of drilling muds is based on a mixture clays and additives in base fluid. There are three generic categories fluid--water, oil, synthetic. Water-based fluids (WBFs) relatively environmentally benign, but performance better with oil-based (OBFs). oil gas industry developed synthetic-based (SBFs), such as vegetable esters, olefins, ethers, others, which provide comparable to OBFs, lower environmental occupational health effects. primary objective this paper present methodology guide decision-making the selection evaluation types using risk-based analytic hierarchy process (AHP). In comparison made considering various activities involved life cycle fluids. This evaluates WBFs, SBFs four major impacts--operations, resources, economics, liabilities. Four activities--drilling, discharging offshore, loading transporting, disposing onshore--cause operational impacts. Each activity involves risks related injuries (safety), general public health, impact, energy use. A multicriteria analysis strategy was used for AHP. four-level hierarchical structure determine final relative scores, found be best option.
