Investigation of tautomeric A—H ⋯ B ⇌ A–⋯ H—B+ equilibrium by linear and non-linear dielectric polarization

摘要: Proton motion within the hydrogen bond is discussed, and non-linear dielectric effect used to check tautomeric equilibrium hypothesis of two positions proton. The results this investigation lead conclusion that simultaneous existence tautomers with a lifetime longer than relaxation time highly doubtful. results, however, are in good agreement charge transfer model as well proton which has very low activation barrier or rapid tunneling bridge.
