摘要: High variability in somatic embryo (SE)-forming capacity has previously been observed several spinach cultivars. Such frequently accounted for more variation embryogenic response of the explants than factor being investigated. Hence, was examined present study at both population and single-seedling level, using seeds cultivar Matador obtained from nine European seed companies. Seed Slovenia (Sl) superior to others, with highest regeneration frequency (100%) mean SE number (14.4). A total 82% these seedlings had 80-100% regenerating explants, while populations intermediate approximately 40% 20-60% explants. The majority (52-100%) least responsive were irresponsive. Furthermore, Sl regenerated 10-20 (43.5%) up > 20 (27.6%) SEs on average, belonging other 1-10 SEs. strongly indicates that plant material must not be overlooked, because choosing individuals one treatment less ones another may lead misinterpretation data.
