摘要: The authors describe the case of a 57-year-old woman who had right-sided hearing disturbance that remained untreated for 1 year. diagnosis was right cerebellopontine angle tumor, and patient underwent its removal via retrosigmoid approach. Pathologically, tumor typical benign neuroma. Growth residual detected 4 years after initial operation, it treated with gamma knife surgery (GKS). Six months later, grown, combined retrosigmoid-translabyrinthine Abnormal mitotic figures were observed on histological studies, indicating become malignant. Thereafter, grew rapidly, died 6.5 treatment. It cannot be ruled out GKS affected outcome, but causal sequence unclear. Because such is rare, documentation considered clinically important.
