摘要: We analyzed the changes in composition, diversity and structure of trees shrubs along a successional gradient southwest Mexico. The early stages were dominated by typical pioneer species but mature forests present throughout chronosequence, therefore plant distribution between may be explained initial floristic composition model. Because sites from all had similar number species, our study does not support intermediate levels disturbance hypothesis. Contrary to patterns observed other dry forest, presented relatively simple complexity compared that forests. This resulted few dominant which are usually with some degree perturbation. According polyclimax hypothesis, appears influenced local soil conditions, microclimates biotic factors. Our supports this idea because conditions vary late different stands. The conservation management plans should directed only single patches order ensure regional biodiversity.
