摘要: The septum has been demonstrated to play a vital role in the generation of theta rhythm oscillations (3-10 Hz) EEG recorded from hippocampus (Stewart and Fox 1990; Bland Colom 1993). amplitude is greatly decreased by nonselective lesions (Sainsbury 1981), selective cholinergic neurons (Lee et al. 1994), septal injections muscimol (Bland 1996) or galanin (Givens, Olton, Crawley 1992).
