摘要: In 2005, draft sequences of the genomes Trypanosoma brucei, cruzi and Leishmania major, also known as Tri-Tryp genomes, were published. These protozoan parasites are causative agents three distinct insect-borne diseases, namely sleeping sickness, Chagas disease leishmaniasis, all with a worldwide distribution. Despite large estimated evolutionary distance among them, conserved core ~6,200 trypanosomatid genes was found genomes. Extensive analysis these genomic has greatly increased our understanding biology their host-parasite interactions. this article, we review recent advances in comparative genomics species. This includes data on additional derived from other trypanosmatid species, well gene expression functional genomics. addition to facilitating identification key parasite molecules that may provide better complex genome studies offer rich source new information can be used define potential drug targets vaccine candidates for controlling parasitic infections.
