摘要: This research was aimed at the preparation of a hybrid film based on layered silicate saponite (Sap) with immobilized photosensitizer phloxine B (PhB). Sap selected because its high cation exchange capacity, ability to exfoliate into nanolayers, and modify different surfaces. The X-ray diffraction films confirmed intercalation both surfactant PhB molecules in film. retained photoactivity films, as shown by fluorescence spectra measurements. water contact angles measurement surface free energy demonstrated hydrophilic nature films. Antimicrobial effectiveness, assessed photodynamic inactivation tested against standard strain methicillin-resistant bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). One group samples irradiated (green LED light; 2.5 h) compared nonirradiated ones. S. strains manifested reduction growth from 1-log10 over 3-log10 control only, defects cells were proven scanning electron microscopy. results proved optimal photo-physical properties anti-MRSA potential this newly designed system that reflects recent progress modification surfaces for various medical applications.
