摘要: The nonlinear lateral buckling response of perfect stocky beams in the vicinity critical bifurcational state is discussed. Attention focused on initial post-buckling response. This depends nature branching point which explored by using a (lateral) bending-curvature relationship. It found that plane loading (associated with major moment inertia) looses its stability through stable symmetric bifurcation point. Hence, above are not sensitive to imperfections, exhibiting strength.
