摘要: We describe a telerehabilitation system that has been developed in our laboratory, and initial results following use of the on 2 patients with stroke. The allows therapist remote location to conduct treatment sessions, using virtual-environment-based motor-training system, patient who is located at home. consists computer motion-capture equipment video camera, virtual-environment software synchronized over high-speed Internet connection. patient's movements are animated within context virtual scene as she attempts imitate prerecorded movement, while can direct monitor activity real time, displayed via videoconference. design, technical testing, clinical feasibility testing reported. Results from first stroke indicate made significant gains upper-extremity function measured by standard tests their subjective report. As well, both demonstrated quantitative kinematic measures trajectories performed world, indicating transfer training VE real-world performance.
