Cis(Z)-clopenthixol and clopenthixol (Sordinol) in chronic psychotic patients. A double-blind clinical investigation.

摘要: The clinical effect of cis(Z)-clopenthixol has been compared with that clopenthixol, which is a mixture the pharmacologically active cis(Z)-isomer and inactive trans(E)-isomer. In 2-month double-blind trial were included 57 psychotic patients, mainly schizophrenics. Ratings evaluating severity illness, therapeutic effect, possible interference side effects patient's functioning, as well any individual done at months 0, 1, 2. antipsychotic was found equal to clopenthixol whereas on mg/mg basis twice clopenthixol. Apart from finding unspecific sedative appeared be less marked cis(Z)-clopenthixol, type, degree, frequency same in two groups patients. More than half patients experienced no effects.
