摘要: Recently, the PTEN/MMAC1 gene encoding a protein phosphatase (PP) and PPP2R1B regulatory subunit of PP2A have been identified as being genetically altered in several types human cancers, indicating that aberrations intracellular signaling pathways via PPs are involved carcinogenesis. Here we report genetic alterations PPP1R3 located at chromosome 7q31, which encodes 3 PP1, various cancers. Mutations were detected 5 33 (15%) non-small cell lung cancer lines 2 38 (5%) primary cancers also observed derived from small cancer, an ovarian colorectal gastric cancer. widely dispersed coding region gene. Three 11 mutations nonsense mutations, whereas remaining ones missense most caused substitutions evolutionarily conserved amino acids. These findings suggest alteration plays role development could act tumor suppressor
