Helpful or Hierarchical? Predicting the Communicative Strategies of Chat Participants, and their Impact on Success

摘要: When interacting with each other, we motivate, advise, inform, show love or power towards our peers. However, the way interact may also hold some indication on how successful are, as people often try to help other achieve their goals. We study chat interactions of thousands aspiring entrepreneurs who discuss and develop business models. manually annotate a set about 5,500 four dimensions interaction styles (motivation, cooperation, equality, advice). find that these can be reliably predicted, communication used predict number indices success. Our findings indicate communicators are in domains.
