摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine the occurrence antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli isolated from chicks and chickens. This carried out on three flocks birds fed commercial feeds supplemented with antibiotics farms. chickens in fourth flock were reared a chicken house, given feed without supplementation. Cloacal swabs taken 50 per at 1, 21 42-day old. A total 507 E. these birds. resistance form 1-day-old chloramphenicol (10 µg), cephalothin (30 cephalaxin enrofloxacin (5 µg) neomycin 0-45% compared other four antibiotics, nalidixic acid streptomycin tetracycline trimethoprim which 75-100%. rates increased age chicks. Most isolates least 6 7 antibiotics. highest seen 42 day old coli, Klebsiella Pseudomonas sp. samples 4- 9 suggests that colonization antibiotic-resistant intestinal tracts not necessarily due use as supplementation but may also be acquired immediate "contaminated" environment.
