摘要: Abstract The characteristics of radar echoes from meteor trails have been studied at 500 and 300 Mc/s with a high power transmitter used in conjunction large radio telescope. At the higher frequency sporadic rate varied between one every few hours up to about two per hour depending on elevation beam, time year day. During Perseid shower average increased three times rate. lower was twenty that Mc/s. It is concluded arose having initial linear densities region 10 13 –10 14 electrons cm. A class has identified which specular condition for reflection relaxed. were characterized by symmetrical rise fall amplitude time. believed these obtained short lengths highly ionized trail moving immediately behind larger meteors variation either reradiating polar diagrams or main beam aerial.
