摘要: Cereals provide a major portion of the calories and protein in human diets many developing countries. Unfortunately, storage proteins cereal grains are poor nutritional quality for beings monogastric animals. This is due largely to low levels essential amino acids lysine tryptophan proteins. The discovery maize mutant opaque-2 (o2), which increases relative content endosperm by reducing zein (Mertz et al. 1964), has stimulated great interest both investigation mechanisms that produce these changes selection utilization high-lysine mutants other grains. Consequently, several genes maize, barley, sorghum have been found an effect similar o2 mutant. Changes acid composition efforts breed improved reviewed recently Axtell (1981), Nelson (1979a, 1979b), Wall Paulis (1978). These sorghum, while increasing content, all reduced seed size grain yield. Studies with indicates (prolamin) factor influencing kernel weight, yield, (Tsai 1978a, 1980).
