摘要: For the validation of optical diagnostic technologies, experimental results need to be benchmarked against gold standard. Currently, standard for tissue characterization is assessment hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained sections by a pathologist. When processing into H&E sections, shape deforms with respect initial when it was optically measured. We demonstrate importance accounting these deformations correlating measurement routinely acquired histopathology. propose method register in measurements, which corrects deformations. compare registered that were an algorithm does not account evaluating both composition using microcomputer tomography data as independent measure. The proposed method, did deformations, more accurate than These emphasize registration accounts such presented this study, can aid validating techniques clinical use.
