摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the potentials, limited successes, and limitations of tissue culture systems in screening for against plant growth regulators. For a cell system to be useful, it must answer well-defined physiological questions that can easily measured cultures, parallel effect whole plant. Such screens should division- or morphogenesis-inducing factors, specific types biochemical production, source sink activity enhancement. Plant when wisely used, powerful tools screen hormone activities, especially cytokinins; activities some yield enhancers compounds may alter assimilate partitioning; natural synthetic phytotoxic phytostatic such as herbicides, allelochemicals, toxins from microorganisms. They also used their ability elicit resistance herbicides
