摘要: Abstract Over the past 20 years, in vivo microdialysis methodologies have provided invaluable information on interactions between dopaminergic and cholinergic systems brain. Such knowledge has helped us to configure dynamic interrelationship of these two major neurotransmitter systems, whole animal, under physiological simulated disease states promote discovery development therapeutic agents. Changes neurotransmission through dopamine (DA) D1- D2-like receptors affect acetylcholine (ACh) efflux, changes muscarinic nicotinic influence DA efflux Thus, or dysfunctions associated with neuropsychiatric modeled experimental animals should ACh concentrations, respectively, interstitial/extracellular fluid that is sampled by microdialysis. In turn, pharmacological treatments restore dopaminergic/cholinergic ACh/DA a predictable, traceable manner. Consequently, sampling related analyses offer rational, approach evaluating pathophysiology treatment diseases neuropsychiatry providing markers neurobiological homeostatic mechanisms relevant drug actions.
