摘要: Numbat is a new simulation environment, developed with IPv6 mobile stations supporting WiMAX in mind. To provide near real-time capabilities (required for VoIP or video streaming) full handover procedure has to be as fast possible. Both investigated components - IEEE 802.16 based networks and capable nodes are rapidly gaining acceptance. Therefore it appears essential perform scale analysis of the such an environment. allows various mobility related issues. It offers support multiple base groups subscribers, both fixed mobile. Also tight integration higher layers (IPv6, DHCPv6, Mobile IPv6) usable, but still under development. This paper presents purpose, functional requirements architecture The current state implementation, validation, future areas improvement example results also discussed detail. Obtained clearly show that most significant delays caused by layer. Some possible several auto-configuration mechanisms identified. optimization proposals discussed.
