摘要: Fifteen Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato isolates from questing ticks and skin biopsy specimens erythema migrans patients in three different areas of Spain were characterized. Four genospecies found (nine garinii, including the two human isolates, B. stricto, valaisiana, one lusitaniae), showing a diverse spectrum species. garinii highly variable terms pulsed-field gel electrophoresis pattern OspA serotype, with four seven serotypes described. One was serotype 5, same tick isolates. The second isolate 3, which not present area. Seven able to disseminate through C3H/HeN mice cause severe inflammation joints. valaisiana also caused disease mice. Only stricto recovered urinary bladder. each lusitaniae or infect internal organs. In summary, there is substantial diversity species pathogenicity northern where Lyme endemic.
