摘要: Abstract The deformation behaviour of a TWinning Induced Plasticity (TWIP) steel was studied at quasi-static strain rates using synchrotron X-ray diffraction. A {111} RD and {200} texture developed from the earliest stages deformation, which could be reproduced an elasto-plastic self consistent (EPSC) model. Evidence is found multiple sources to suggest that twinning occurring before macroscopic yielding. This included small deviations in lattice strains, intensity changes peak width broadening all below yield point. accumulation permanent on sub-yield mechanical cycling material found, further supports diffraction data. TEM revealed fine twins similar those observed heavily deformed samples formed during cycling. It concluded had occurred plastic began, unlike traditionally expected hexagonal metals such as Mg.
