摘要: We are comparing two different methods for obtaining the radiologists’ subjective impression of similarity, application in distinguishing benign from malignant lesions. Thirty pairs mammographic clustered calcifications were used this study. These 30 rated on a 5-point scale as to their where 1 was nearly identical and 5 not at all similar. After this, possible combinations shown reader (n=435) selected which pair most This experiment repeated by observers with least week between reading sessions. Using analysis variance, intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) calculated both absolute scoring method paired comparison method. In addition, method, coefficient consistency within each calculated. The average consistence 4 readers 0.88 (range 0.49-0.97). results statistically significant guessing p << 0.0001. ICC intra-reader agreement 0.51 (0.37-0.66 95% CI) 0.82 (0.73-0.91 difference (p=0.001). For inter-reader agreement, 0.39 (0.21-0.57 0.37 (0.18-0.56 conclude that humans able judge similarity meaningful way. Further, radiologists had greater when using than an rating scale. Differences criteria differences interpreting comprise cluster can lead low values methods.
