摘要: In the past fifteen years, a considerable increase in size of golden jackal (Canis aureus) population has been recorded eastern part Croatia. Dietary habits have determined period 2008-2011 by analysing content 238 stomachs. Golden is typical omnivorous and opportunistic forager which consumes easiest accessible food, according to season habitat, primary animal such as carcasses, rodents meat waste. Parts big game animals were found consumed main hunting during winter. Small frequently present diet spring summer, breeding cub-rearing. Meat waste originated from livestock periodically, pig slaughtering at rural households. Plant material occurred occasionally jackal, depending on time crop harvest or ripening fruits.
