摘要: Genetic improvement of sugarcane (Saccharum spp. hybrids) yield is crucial in the crop productivity. The objectives this study were to estimate broad sense heritability and phenotypic genetic correlations among components. Thirteen clones one cultivar evaluated randomized block design three locations western Kenya. was conducted plant first ratoon crops. Significant (p ≤ 0.05) differences genotypes for all traits observed. Genotype × location (G ×L) interactions significant 0.01) stalk height, weight cane yield. High (h2) detected diameter (0.928), number millable (0.912), single (0.907) internodes indicating that these could be selected easily. Highest expected gains recorded (34%) (26.7%). Except internodes, had low moderate (rg = -0.299 0.586) with On average higher than correlations. suggests evaluation many as opposed years would satisfactory. In view their high GCV, advance, a selection strategy based on lead
