摘要: Abstract The mining industry produces large volumes of mine tailings – a mix crushed rocks and process effluents from the processing mineral ores. Mine are major environmental issue due to implications related their handling storage. Depending on mined ore used, it may be possible recover valuable elements tailings, among them critical raw materials (CRMs) like rare earths, vanadium, antimony. aim this study was investigate techno-economic feasibility producing tailings. Data 477 Chilean facilities were analyzed used in assessment valorization form CRMs recovery. A review applicable technologies performed identify suitable for processing. To assess economic production, net present value (NPV) calculated using discounted cash flow (DCF) method. Sensitivity analysis design experiments analyze influence independent variables NPV. Two options assessed, earth oxides (REOs) production vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) production. results show that is produce V2O5 with an NPV 76 million US$. In case REOs, positive but rather low, which indicates investment risky. ANOVA run indicated REOs highly sensitive price discount rate.
