摘要: The manipulation (transport, mixing, segregation etc.) with powders and granular materials can be crucial for the quality of a final product. Detailed description analysis flow phenomena from first principles is therefore very valuable. Here, simulations mixing via discrete element method (DEM) two types mixers are performed compared experimental measurements. In horizontal rotating drum mixer spherical particles different diameters studied. Different steady states observed their stability in dependence on period rotation size system discussed. Effect operating conditions dynamics process homogenization industrial paddle also analyzed. Global patterns development both experiments simulations.
