摘要: A technique to reduce blocking and ringing artifacts in low bit-rate block-based video coding is applied each reconstructed frame output from the decoder. For pixel block of a frame, its DC value values surrounding eight neighbor blocks are exploited predict AC coefficients which might be lost quantization stage encoding process. The predicted used classify as either low-activity or high-activity block. Low-pass filtering then adaptively according classification Strong low-pass where most noticeable, whereas weak noise well may exist. adaptive reduces without introducing undesired blur. In activity blocks, reduced by one dimensional horizontal vertical filters selectively and/or direction depending on locations absolute coefficients. high de-blocking de-ringing conducted single filter, horizontally vertically, makes architecture simple.
